The effect of Movement balance training and Non Movem ent balance training in an unstable supporting surface on the ankle joint stability and functionality

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Movement balance training for improving the stability and functionality of ankle joint to the ankle instability patients.

Method: We performed the movement balance training and non-movement balance training for 40 patients who have ankle instability for three times per week during four weeks. After the training, we measured ankle function and stability before and after training.

Results: After 4weeks, the function and stability measures for the movement balance training group were found to be significantly higer than those for the non-movement balacne training group.

Conclusion: Movement balance training is expected to improve ability of function and stability to the ankle joint. Therefore, it can be concluded that movement balance training have positive effect when used as ankle rehabilitaion.
